AISSF organized anti-drug march from Bhai Gurdas Hall to Sri Akal Takht Sahib

AMRITSAR: All India Sikh Students Federation (AISSF) organized anti-drug march from Bhai Gurdas Hall to Sri Akal Takht Sahib The anti drug march after parading in heritage Street it was ended at Akal Takht here today. Hundreds of youths who held placards with anti-drug slogans in their hands and gave a message to the society to stay away from this leprosy.

At the end of Chetna March, prayers were offered for the progress Panth. Akal Takht Jathedar Giani Raghbir Singh, Giani Gurminder Singh of Akal Takht Sahib were also present there.

On the occasion of the 79th anniversary of All India Sikh Students Federation, Bhai Gurcharan Singh Grewal, Chief Sevadar and General Secretary of Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee, said that the youth is the pillar of the better future of the country and the nation, but the current situation is that the government is killing the youth due to drugs.

The anti-drug march organized by Federation Grewal from Bhai Gurdas Hall to Sri Akal Takht Sahib was attended by Federation leader Bhai Gurcharan Singh Grewal said that drugs have no place in Sikh philosophy and the Sikh Students Federation was established for the awareness of Sikh values among the youth. This green team of Sikhs has always raised its voice in a sharp tone against social evils and especially drugs. It is sad that today the drug dealers are openly destroying the life and future of the youth, while the governments are protecting these people instead of taking action.

He said that Sikh youths were being killed during the Congress rule, while today's government is harming the youth through drugs.

Bhai Grewal said that the current Aam Aadmi Party government of Punjab had come under the slogan and claim of freeing people from drugs, but the reality of the land came to the fore in a few days.

He questioned whether Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, who talked about grass growing in hearths, can tell about the situation in the villages of Punjab today. He appealed to the people that they must demand an account of every claim and promise from the Chief Minister.
