
Pakistani Sikhs Pay rich tribute to martyrs on ‘Youm-e-Takreem Shuhada-e-pakistan’
Lahore: Youm-e-Takreem Shuhada-e-Pakistan (Martyrs Reverence Day) was observed on Thursday across the country with special ceremonies and events held to pay glowing tribute to the martyrs, who rendered their lives to protect the motherland.
Pakistani sikh leaders said that the whole nation stands with Pakistan Army like an unbreakable mountain and would continue to guard the dignity and respect of our Martyrs till last breath.
Sardar Jaskarn Singh urged the nation to "say no to May 9" by showing exemplary solidarity with the martyrs, Ghazis, defenders of the homeland and their families on " Pakistan Martyrs Day."
Punjabi sikh sangat also paid heartfelt tributes to the martyrs, quoting a Punjabi verse (Jadon Dulda Khoon Shaheedan Da Taqdeer Badaldi Qauman Di) that translates to "when the blood of martyrs spills, it changes the destiny of nations."
Tributes and prayers were also given to the sacrifices of the martyrs and their families in the different gurdwaras of Pakistan.
In Punjab, rallies to express solidarity with the Armed Forces of Pakistan were held in different cities. Sikhs chanted slogans in favour of Pakistan Army saying "Long live the Pakistan Army" and also shown intense anger against the miscreants.
