The National Monument Authority (NMA) under the Ministry of Culture will hold a function at the Red Fort in Delhi on Saturday to pay tribute to legendary Sikh warrior Banda Singh Bahadur. “Red Fort, New Delhi, is the place from where the Mughals gave firman for Banda Singh Bahadur’s brutal killing. Red Fort is going to be the place from where the Ministry of Culture of Government of India will be offering salute to the great warrior,” said Tarun Vijay, NMA Chairman. “Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav would remain incomplete without remembering such great heroes,” added the NMA Chairperson. On Saturday dignitaries will assemble at the Red Fort lawns from 10.30 am onwards and pay homage to the martyred Sikh warrior.
