SGPC Provides Much Needed Isolation Unit in Himachal Pradesh To Stop The Spread of COVID-19

A brand new guest house originally built for devotees at Sri Paonta Sahib is now ready to serve the purpose of isolation units.

SGPC president Gobind Singh Longowal told Sikh24 that no state will be left behind in helping to curb the spread of coronavirus. He announced that one guest house of Gurdwara Sri Paonta Sahib in Himachal Pradesh is being provided to the Government so they can use it as an isolation unit.

Bhai Longowal said that the Guru Gobind Singh Ji Guest House is a brand new constructed building which provides all amenities for those staying there. He said that there are 32 rooms and 3 big halls in this Guest House and these can be used for isolation. He further said that langar is also prepared in the historical place of Sri Guru Gobind Singh, Gurdwara Sri Paonta Sahib, and sent to the needy people daily. Bhai Longowal said that SGPC and its related subsidiaries are assisting the Government. “We are committed for the welfare of the people with cooperative spirit due to present circumstances,” he said.
